【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesasatisfactorymeansofdeterminingtherelativeefficacyofsprayformulationsagainsthouseflies(Muscadomestica,L).Testdataobtainedbythistestmethodmayalsobeadequatetosupportlabelclaimsfortheuseoftheproductagainstmosquitoes,gnats,flyingmoths,wasps,andcertainothersmallflyinginsects.Thistestmethodisnotdesignedtomeasuretheresidualactionofthesprayformulation.Asabiologicaltest,itissubjecttothevariationsthataccompanythereactionsoflivingorganisms.Itshouldbeemployedunderthesupervisionofpersonnelfamiliarwiththebiologicaltestingofinsecticides.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherelativeefficiencyofhouseholdandindustrial-use,contactinsecticidesdissolvedinbaseoils.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
