【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversdeformedandplainstainless-steelbarsforconcretereinforcementincutlengthsandcoilsusedinapplicationsrequiringresistancetocorrosionorcontrolledmagneticpermeability.ThestandardsizesanddimensionsofdeformedbarsandtheirnumericaldesignationshallbethoselistedinTable1.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.1.1Supplementaryrequirement(S1)ofanoptionalnatureisprovided.Itshallapplyonlywhenspecifiedbythepurchaser.Inordertoobtainacontrolledmagneticpermeabilityproduct,steelconformingtoSupplementaryRequirementS1shouldbeordered.1.2Thechemicalcompositionofthestainlesssteelalloyshallbeselectedforsuitabilitytotheapplicationinvolvedbyagreementbetweenthemanufacturerandthepurchaser.Thisisanimportantconsiderationinachievingthedesiredcorrosionresistanceorcontrolledmagneticpermeability,orboth,becausethesepropertiesarenotprovidedbyallstainlesssteels.Note18212;ThealloysshowninTable2havefoundthemostuseinNorthAmerica.Otheralloysmayalsoprovidedesiredproperties;consultwiththemanufacturerforstainlesssteelalloypropertiesandavailability.1.3Requirementsfortherelativedeformationareaofthree-sideddeformedbarsarecontainedinAnnexA4.1.4Barsareofthreeminimumyieldstrengthlevels,namely,40000[280MPa],60000[420MPa],and75000psi[520MPa],designatedasGrade40[280],Grade60[420],andGrade75[520],respectively.1.5Plainroundsinsizesuptoandincluding2in.[50.8mm]indiameterincoilsorcutlengths,whenordered,shallbefurnishedunderthisspecificationinGrade40[280],Grade60[420],andGrade75[520],respectively.Bendingproperties,whenrequired,shallbebyagreementbetweenthemanufacturerandpurchaser.Requirementsprovidingfordeformationsandmarkingshallnotbeapplicabletoplainbars.1.6Weldabilityofmoststainlesssteelcompositionsisgenerallygood,however,pre-weldorpost-weldprocedures,orboth,arenecessary.Wherematerialistobewelded,aweldingproceduresuitableforthechemicalcompositionandintendeduseorserviceshallbeused.Retestingofphysicalpropertiesshouldbeconsideredfollowingweldingproceduresdependinguponthesteelcompositionandweldingoperationinvolved.Note28212;ItisrecommendedthattheuserconsultthemanufacturerforinformationavailablefromtheNickelDevelopmentInstitute(NIDI)(Toronto,Canada).1.7Thisspecificationisapplicableforordersineitherinch-poundunits(asSpecificationA955)orinSIunits(asSpecificationA955M).1.8Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
